Licenses & attribution
Every item in Promptkura was written and published by someone else. Here is how we credit them and respect their licenses.
Credit on every item
Each item keeps its original name, shows its author and license, and links to the exact source file. Downloads include an ATTRIBUTION.md with the same information. The full list of repositories we index is on Sources & credits.
How licenses decide what we show
We read each repository's license and every per-item license file (a license next to an item overrides the repository's).
- Permissive licenses (for example MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD, CC0, CC-BY): the item is hosted in full, with attribution.
- Share-alike licenses (for example CC-BY-SA): hosted in full, with attribution and the share-alike terms noted.
- Licenses that don't allow redistribution, or no license: we show only the name, description and a link to the original. The content stays on the author's site.
When you use an item
You use each item under its own license, not under a Promptkura license. Keep the author's notice where the license requires it (the included ATTRIBUTION.md makes that easy), and check the license before redistributing an item yourself.
Names and trademarks
Product and company names (such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot or Gemini) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. Promptkura is not affiliated with or endorsed by them or by any listed author.
Authors: removal or corrections
If you wrote something that's listed and want it removed, relabelled or credited differently, use the takedown request form or email hello@promptkura.me. We act on valid requests promptly and exclude the item from future syncs.
